Information Technology Manager I

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Information Technology Manager I to lead the Distributed Applications (DA) and Workforce Services Branch (WSB) Support Section. The DA and WSB Support Manager is responsible for supporting critical EDD applications and services in support of EDD's program areas and external customers.

The DA and WSB Support Manager will lead the DA and WSB Support groups within the section in support of EDD's CalJOBS system, Labor Market Information system, and other critical applications used by the Department. This position involves overseeing projects and activities supported by section including modernizing legacy applications and guiding EDD when adopting new tools and technologies. The incumbent will provide oversight and guidance to section staff to ensure that staff properly execute their duties and are aligned with EDD's business vision and objectives.

This position is eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. • Modernizes and automates operations by overseeing implementation, upgrades, or replacement of mission critical systems and automating manual processes.
