Job description
The Desktop Support Technician provides hands-on deskside support for end users, resolving incidents, performing system refreshes, and supporting a wide range of specialized hardware and peripherals. This role includes working ticketed incidents, IMAC activities, and providing walk-up IT support in staffed locations. Experience in healthcare environments is a plus., * Resolve software break/fix incidents, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution
- Perform IMAC activities including software installations, machine upgrades, and device moves
- Support PC refresh initiatives, including system replacements and reconfigurations
- Provide hands-on support for a broad range of specialized peripherals, including:
- Paper and ID scanners
- Barcode scanners
- Credit card readers
- Label printers
- Signature pads
- Dragon dictation microphones
- RFID readers
- Deliver professional deskside and walk-up support at staffed technology walk-up bars
- Use the ServiceNow ticketing system to document, track, and resolve incidents and requests
- Provide remote support using LogMeIn as needed
- Perform basic Active Directory tasks, including user account and access support
- Support end users in a Windows 10 and Microsoft Office environment
Requirements
- Experience providing deskside desktop support in an enterprise environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
- Hands-on experience supporting end-user peripherals and specialized devices
- Basic working knowledge of Active Directory
- Experience working incidents and requests through a ticketing system
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to support users in person
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Prior hospital or healthcare environment desktop support experience
- Experience using ServiceNow (preferred but not required)
- Experience providing support in walk-up IT support locations

This is a Contract position based out of Olney, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
