General Superintendent-Data Center

Experteer Overview As a Traveling Construction Superintendent, you oversee site activities to deliver on schedule, budget, and quality. You lead field teams and trade contractors across multiple projects nationwide, with extensive travel. You’ll mentor junior superintendents and coordinate safety, scheduling, and documentation to ensure smooth project delivery. This role supports MasTec’s energy and infrastructure portfolio, including data center construction, with a hands-on, field-focused leadership style. You will play a pivotal role in driving safety, productivity, and on-time project completion. Compensation / Benefits * Promote and enforce company safety policies * Lead and evaluate subcontractors and field staff * Coordinate construction activities and supervise site progress * Mentor Level I/II Superintendents and ensure compliance with policies * Negotiate change orders and manage material orders and inspections * Maintain and update construction schedules and solve problems * Organize the job site and maintain project records and documentation * Communicate effectively with large groups of stakeholders * Hire/train direct reports, assign work, and manage performance * Travel to multiple job sites with short notice and perform other duties as assigned Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; or 15+ years of experience in lieu of degree * 10 years as a construction superintendent (or 15+ years total experience) * 5 years of Data Center project experience * Strong scheduling, planning, organization, and document control skills * Superior communication and organizational abilities with subcontractors and inspectors * OSHA certification and knowledge of safety standards * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs, and Document Control Programs Key requirements * Competitive pay and merit increases * 401(k) with company match & ESPP * Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care) * Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance * Paid time off and holidays * Military leave and benefits continuation
