Experteer Overview In this role, you lead design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions for client use cases while guiding cross-functional teams. You manage AI engineering workstreams, shape data pipelines and production-grade components, and translate requirements into scalable solutions. You will mentor junior practitioners and monitor model performance to drive accuracy and reliability. This position sits within Deloitte’s GPS practice, contributing to government and public sector impact through data and AI platforms and services. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of ML/AI solutions for client use cases * Manage AI engineering workstreams, assign work, review deliverables, and ensure quality and timeliness * Develop and oversee data pipelines, training workflows, and production-grade components * Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product stakeholders, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions * Coach and mentor junior practitioners, monitor model and application performance to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field * 7+ years of professional experience * 5+ years designing, developing, or deploying ML/AI/advanced analytics solutions * 3+ years programming in Python, Pyspark, Pytorch, and Tensorflow * 2+ years technology consulting in State or Local Government * 2+ years leading technical teams or workstreams in AI/ML delivery * 1+ years working with AI technologies like Gemini, Anthropic, and OpenAI * Active certification in Python, Pyspark, Pytorch, and Tensorflow * Willingness to travel ~20% * Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * professional development opportunities * reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities * broad range of benefits * competitive compensation range * opportunity to work on impactful public sector projects
