Job description
We are recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join our busy IT Department. The main purpose of the role is to be the main point of contact on the helpdesk and to provide 1st and 2nd line support to 500+ users at 10 remote locations across the world on a busy helpdesk., * l Provide 2nd and 3rd line helpdesk support to a user base of 500+ users.
- l Log and maintain calls using the call logging system.
- l Software patching and firmware updates.
- l Produce and update IT policies and procedures documentation.
- l You will be required to visit the remote locations to perform upgrades and maintenance on the systems as and when required.
- l Work with third parties support companies to resolve hardware and software issues.
- l Maintain and support all communication links and remote access links.
- l Configuration and support of Apple devices/Android devices.
- l Configuration and support of WIFI network and Access Points
- Domain Management.
- Support of in-house bespoke software systems.
- Installation of Hardware, including PC's, Printers, Thin Clients, Switches, Routers etc.
- Take a lead role on specific mini projects as required.
- Support the Mitel IP Telephony system.
- Support the VMware and Microsoft RDS environment.
- Network Management
- Support the Microsoft Office 365 estate.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VMware?, * Hardworking and flexible individual.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Able to work using their own initiative.
- Strong Team Player.
- Must be accurate and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Willing to undertake training courses and further their product knowledge.
- Ability to communicate well, verbally and through documentation.
Benefits & conditions
The position is a permanent full-time office-based role working 38.75 hours per week. The working day covers the core business hours from 8.30am to 5.00pm as with all IT roles flexibility to work out of hours and weekend working is required on an on call basis to suit operational and IT maintenance requirements.
